The Role

This role is responsible for driving the SEO strategy for a portfolio of around 10 clients, covering all things from on-page, technical, off-page, UX, to content and everything in between - your strategies will look different for every client based on their industry, competitors and business goals.

You'll be someone who has a focus on performance across your work, ensuring measurable and impactful results are achieved through a “get things done” mentality.

You’ll be working within a multi-disciplinary team called a ‘pod’ with between 6-8 other team members, and will work collectively on a group of clients majority of the time.

What This Means You'll Be Doing

Client Engagement & Relationships

  • Looking after a portfolio of around 10 clients in various industries and of different sizes
  • Build strong, stable relationships with your key client contacts
  • Ensure you understand client goals and objectives that will shape your organic strategy and deliverables
  • Presenting & pitching your ideas, deliverables and insights to clients on a regular basis
  • Working closely with the client’s external partners as required to see your strategies come to life (e.g. web development partners)

SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Researching, planning and creating SEO strategies for your clients that will drive impact
  • Executing all kinds of SEO-driven tactics, including but not limited to: keyword research, technical, content, link building/off-page, on-page optimisations, gap analysis, website usability, etc.
  • Review Google Analytics and SEO industry-standard tools, pulling campaign insights and creating insightful reports in DataStudio
  • Assisting with SEO insights and research for new business opportunities or expanding existing clients
  • Managing SEO-driven projects such as website migrations and completing risk-mitigation audits to protect our client’s organic performance

Team Collaboration & Integration

  • Working with the wider team to create holistic digital strategies and tactics that support your client's goals
  • Creating integrated reports that show how your activity supports the other tactics we also manage for a client
  • Assisting with wider SEO opportunity spotting within your pod team, helping identify when SEO can assist clients outside of your direct portfolio achieve their goals

Who We're Looking For

  • Ultimately, someone who has the passion for, and motivation to develop a career in SEO
  • Degree qualified in Marketing, PR or equivalent
  • Experience in creating and executing SEO strategies — ideally we are looking someone with a minimum of 12 months experience doing this across a range of clients/businesses
  • Someone who can balance the grey thinking required with SEO, with a decisive, action-based approach that ‘gets things done’
  • A data lover — Someone who understands the power of using data to inform creative thinking and strategy
  • A high level of personal organisation and the ability to take ownership and manage projects with many moving parts

Benefits & Salary

The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $79,000 plus Superannuation & benefits, based on experience.
